Hello! My name is Benjamin Hodge, and I'm honored to be an assistant coach for Klassic Coaching. I’ve been active in the fitness industry for a decade as a competitive bodybuilder, gathering valuable knowledge and learning countless lessons along the way. As a bodybuilding coach, I’ve been helping people step on stage since 2018.
I started bodybuilding at age 17, and recently, I earned my IFBB Pro Card at the 2024 NPC Junior USA Championships, where I won the overall title in the classic physique category. Competing has been a central part of my life since I began, and it continues to fuel my passion and drive.
What I love most about the sport is the stability and structure it provides. Bodybuilding demands organization and detailed planning—traits that perfectly match my personality. I thrive in routines, and I’ve always been a planner, so the discipline of bodybuilding naturally suits me.
While bodybuilding is a significant part of my life, I’m more than just a bodybuilder. For the past three years, I’ve also been a licensed massage therapist, working out of MI40 Gym for the last two. In October 2022, I moved to Tampa, Florida, for this position, and I couldn’t be happier. My work as a therapist complements my life as an athlete and coach, allowing me to support my clients’ health and recovery.
Originally, I was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, but I moved to West Virginia when I was in second grade. I grew up there until I turned 21 and decided to make the leap to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to live on my own. During that time, I worked as a server while attending massage therapy school. Though I appreciated many things about Pittsburgh, the cold weather eventually pushed me toward the sunshine, and I made the move to Tampa. Since then, my life has improved dramatically, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Over the years, I’ve refined my coaching skills through personal experience and by working with clients—always focusing on doing things the right way and safely. Coaching has become my true passion—I might even enjoy it more than competing!
I’m fully committed to helping my athletes succeed, as long as they are ready to put in the effort, too. If you give me your best, I’ll take care of the rest!
